30 Days of Editorial Layouts
This project showcases 30 days of illustrating the homes where famous celebrities have grown up—designed for magazine covers and spreads. This type of work has prepared me immensely for planning and working on unified campaigns. Designing with grids and illustrating simple shapes from complex structures was used every day for this project. To see the entire collection, visit @ryansgraphics.ai on Instagram. Las Vegas Poster
This is an informative poster design for the city of Las Vegas. It is meant to provide a sense of history to such an iconic city—as well as attract more tourists to the area. The design direction of this poster is to emphasize Las Vegas as the city of lights and colors. Therefore, lots of varying pastel colors were chosen. Statistics at the bottom of the poster also describe the economic hit that the city took during the COVID-19 pandemic.
San Francisco Earthquake Booklet
This project is a booklet design on The Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. Not only does this booklet provide statistics on the quake, but also accompanying visuals such as infographics and pictures. Images were provided by the San Francisco Virtual Museum in San Francisco, California. In order to make this booklet come off as vintage, but also relate to the destruction and horror of those that watched this event live, a black and red color scheme was chosen. Golden Lights Magazine
Golden Lights Magazine is a California historical magazine that takes a deep dive into how three iconic California cities were built—that is, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Everything was designed throughout this magazine—from conception to the final comprehensive. Original illustrations and photography were also used within this magazine. Due to each one of these three cities having their own unique character and history, specific imagery, typography, color schemes, and effects were carefully chosen to align with each. So open up Golden Lights Magazine and take a deep dive into the past. To view the entire magazine, click the button below.
